Clamp On Flowmeters
The SITRANS F US ultrasonic wetted flowmeters are used to measure electrically conductive and non-conductive liquids that are acoustically permeable. They come in sensor sizes from DN 50 to 1200 (2“ to 48“) and as wetted retrofit flowmeters up to DN 4000 (160“). The program offers comprehensive self-diagnostic capabilities for error indication and logging, the possibility to exchange transducers without interrupting operation, HART and PROFIBUS PA communication, custody transfer and ATEX approvals.
The wetted ultrasonic flowmeter program can be used within three main areas:
Industry
Ultrasonic flowmeters suitable for the industry can measure both conductive and non-conductive liquids including different types of oils and liquid gases. Main applications also include the measurement of volume flow within the general, petrochemical and chemical industries, power engineering and water and waste water.
Utility
Ultrasonic flowmeters for utility can be used for the measurement of water flow or water flow in heat meter systems in district heating networks, power plants and chilled water plants. They also offer the possibility for energy calculation in district heating applications, chilled water applications and combined cooling/heating applications. The flowmeters can be delivered with a custody transfer approval.
Wetted Retrofit
Wetted ultrasonic retrofit systems can be installed onto existing pipes making it a cost-effective solution, which is mostly used for large pipe sizes. They are suitable for a variety of applications. The complete system is delivered with all the components needed to mount the sensor. It is a solid construction with no moving parts for a 100% maintenance and obstruction free flowmetering.
